About the Project
Copper Basin Energy Storage (Copper Basin) is ideally located in San Tan Valley, Arizona on approximately 25 acres of land, where it interconnects to critical transmission infrastructure at SRP’s Abel substation. This facility will provide much-needed energy storage capacity and services to the SRP electrical grid in the Pinal County area, enhancing grid reliability and accelerating the integration of locally produced renewable energy.
